We were pleased to welcome photographer Leo Cackett to the studio this April, after following his projects for some time. If you are unfamiliar with Cackett’s work he is a London based photographer who experiments with a range of disciplines including portraiture, landscape and reportage. He initiated his career assisting some of the greats, including Nick Knight and Corrine Day, and has since taken on his own projects involving a range of editorial/advertorial clients and he holds a strong collection of celebrity portraits.
We have specifically been keeping up to date with his documentary and personal projects, which are very beautifully captured on Cackett’s extensive travels. The best example we can give is his short series captured in Kenya that have much personality and a considered aesthetic. The colours and compositions of the images are very pleasing, and Cackett portraits of locals are also engaging. The characters he has selected are intriguing and Cackett successfully captures and portrays elements of their personality with grace. To view Cacketts beautiful documentary work click here.
