Andreas Larsson is a renowned fashion and portrait photographer working and living in London. Born and raised in Sweden, Larsson studied at the London College of Printing and has since continued to develop his career here in the UK. This week at SHED Photography Studio over in East London, we spied his work in the middle of Fantastic Man, a semi-annual publication that commonly concentrates on fashion and also has interviews from various celebrities and intellectuals. His series displays model Connor Newall, in various oversized garments, wearing a variety of knits and overcoats, and the shoot is playful experiment with tremendous proportions. The styling from Julian Ganio is adventurous and pleasing, the black and white images allowing you to focus on the shapes the clothes create rather than the colours. The images are simply captured, with relaxed poses, often with hands in pockets or strolling through the set, and the model is pictured full length with a non-distracting white background. The photographs appear classic yet modern, and introduce a new way to wear your outer layers, the folds and collections of material very pleasing to the eye. Andreas Larsson regularly works with very high profile clients and publications including, The Fantastic Man, The Gentle Woman, Acne Paper, Dazed and Confused, and Purple. He has also collaborated with Lavin, Balmain Cos and Acne to name a few, and continues to consistently produce fantastic work. Have a look at more here.
