How to make your product photography stand out

Want to make your Product Photography stand out from the rest? We have recently worked with the Scottish fashion designer Christopher Kane on his new SS18 sunglasses collection. And after shooting. It got us thinking about all the great ways you can make your product photography stand out from the masses.

At our east London photography studio, we can not only rent you out a space and so you can work independently. Our in-house photography experts are also able to work collaboratively with clients to get the most out of their shots. While working with Christopher Kane on their sunglasses shot, our suggestions made such an impact that we’ve helped them on their bag collection too.

Stuck on new ways to make your product pack shot photos look stellar? Check out our tips below for some fresh new ideas.

Try unique angles

Most packshot images are usually shot on a white background with the product in high definition.  One tip we usually give our clients in order to spice up product photography is to shoot products from unusual angles. Christopher Kane’s sunglasses’ shots took it to the next level too by shoot the products outside.

Create a still life masterpiece

Another luxe brand we love is Celine. Their AW2014 bag campaign was shot like a still-life painting.  They used dark sombre background colours and props of flowers and fruits, reminiscent of still-life artworks by Francisco de Zurbaran or Pieter Claesz.

Capture your vision

We strive to achieve the perfect looks for our clients. We have three photography studios, each one fit with a 2,000-sqaurefoot shooting area. So, our spaces are ideal for shooting music videos, castings, lookbooks and various e-commerce shoots.

Book with the Shed

We specialise in e-commerce brands from fashion editorials, magazine shoots, castings and videos.
